Tec7 FAQS
Q. Is Tec7 the same as a silicone sealant?
A. Not to be confused with a silicone sealant, Tec7 is a Solvent Free MS Polymer based product that bonds, seals and mounts... Even under water.
Q. How Long Does Tec7 Last after it has been opened?
A. Once the tube has been opened, screw the cap provided back on to the top of the nozzle and store it at room temperature. Over a period of time the Tec7 may harden at the top of the nozzle, remove this for continued use.
Q. How Long Does Tec7 Take to fully cure?
A. On a 6mm bead Tec7 will fully cure within 24 hours, even under water.
Q. Are there any materials that Tec7 will not work on?
A. While Tec7 works on most building materials it will not work on Polypropylene and Polyethylene. Examples of items made from these materials are Wheelie Bins. Please refer to our technical sheets for more specific information.
Q. Is Tec7 UV and Mould resistant?
A. Yes, Tec7 is both UV and Mould resistant so will not discolour when exposed to sunlight and will not shrink.
Q. Is it safe to use around in fish ponds and aquariums?
A. Yes, because Tec7 does not contain any solvents, it can be used in fish ponds and aquariums, however, please keep fish away from Tec7 while it is curing.
Q. What temperatures is it resistant to?
A. Tec7 is resistant to temperatures from -30 to +95 degrees.
Q. Can Tec7 be used with Petrol, Oil or Diesel tanks?
A. Tec7 is resistant to Petrol, Oil and Diesel, we would ask users to check what the tank is made from before proceeding and that the surface is clean. Please refer to the technical sheets for further information.
Q. How do I remove Tec7 from surfaces I used it on?
A. Tec7 while curing can be removed from any surface using Tec7 Cleaner.
Tec7 Cleaner is a solvent based cleaner that when sprayed evaporates in the atmosphere within 3 minutes making it safe to use in any working area including the home.
Q. Where Can I use Tec7 cleaner?
A. Tec7 Cleaner, as well as being a cleaner is also a degreaser and is safe to use on most surfaces while also safe to use for removing unwanted uncured Tec7. Please refer to our technical sheets for more information. Tec7 cleaner is also excellent for finishing Tec7 beads used for sealing around baths, sinks or shower doors and for removing most adhesive residues, e.g. stickers.

Q. How much does Pur7 expand by when using it?
A. There are two types of Pur7 expanding foams both of which are unique in that they Stop Expanding when they meet resistance. The Pur7 Straw application expands by 50% and the Pur7 Plus (Pur7 Fr) Gun Grade application expands by 20% meaning that for example if you were to use this on new windows or door frames, it will not push the frame out of it's position.
Q. How long will Pur7 or Pur7 plus last after it has been opened?
A. Once opened the Pur7 Plus Gun Grade can be used until the can is completely empty provided it remains attached to the gun and stored at room temperature. With the Pur7 Straw application, again once the nozzle remains attached to the can and is stored at room temperature, it can be used for 4 to 5 days after it is initially opened.
Q. What temperature is Pur7 resistant to?
A. Pur7, both Gun Grade and Straw applicated, are resistant to temperatures of -40 to +110 degrees.
Q. Is Pur7 Fire Rated?
A. Pur7 Plus Gun Grade Expanding Foam is B1 Fire Rated, the highest rating for expanding foams.
Pur7 Straw applicated Expanding Foam is B2 Fire Rated, the next highest rating for expanding foams.
Q. Can Pur7 be painted and sanded?
A. Pur7 can be sanded and painted 90 minutes after it is applied. It can also be plastered and bonded within the same time frame.
Q. Is Pur7 Waterproof and Draught Proof?
A. Yes. Because of its low expansion rate Pur7 does not have large air bubbles unlike other foams making it waterproof and draught proof.
Q. How do I remove Pur7 Foam?
A. Pur7 Cleaner is ideal for removing excess foam before it is fully cured from any surface. It is important to point out that like all PU Foams, Pur7 cleaner will only work while the foam is curing and not when it is fully cured.
Roof7 FAQs
Q. What is Roof7 made from?
A. Roof7 is made up of Bitimun for a longer life, Butyl Rubber for flexibility and Glass Fibres for strength.
Q. Can it be applied in wet conditions?
A. Roof7 can be used in wet or dry conditions even under water.
Q. What coverage do you get?
A. It is recommended that a 1mm coating of Roof7 with cover an area of 1sq metre per kg, i.e. 10kg will cover approximately 10 sq metres.
Q. How long is it guaranteed for?
A. Roof7 is guaranteed to remain flexible for a minimum of 20 years.
Q. What temperatures can Roof7 be used in?
A. Roof7 can be used in temperatures of -12 to +50 degrees.
Q. What products can it be used with?
A. Roof7 can be used with metal, galvanized steel, zinc, lead, copper, tin, wood, brick, concrete, roofing, asphalt, pvc and polyester.
GT7 FAQS
Q. Is GT7 like all other penetrating oils available on the market?
A. GT7 is the next generation in Penetrating oil that solves thousands of problems. It is a moisture repellent, fights rust using it's unique cold shock effect, lubricates , it can be used as a contact spray on electrical applications, is a cleaner, removes deposits of tar from cars for example, without damaging the paintwork, and is a protective agent.
Q. Does GT7 have an oily smell like other penetrating oils?
A. GT7 has been added with a substance giving it a nice fresh smell making it ideal for use around the home.
Q. Is it safe to use on Electrical or Garden Power Tools?
A. If you spray GT7 into any power tool it creates a waterproof barrier that protects all parts from moisture that also cleans them helping prolong the lifespan of the tool. GT7 is also excellent for lubricating any moving parts such as blades on a hedge trimmer that have tightened over the winter.
